VICTORY/KUBER Visit

Tug VICTORY and barge JAMES L. KUBER arrived in Erie at 1400 this afternoon while fighting a strong west wind. The articulated tug-barge unit had planned on turning in Presque Isle Bay before docking at the Mountfort Terminal to unload stone from Calcite, Michigan; however, the wind prevented the unit from turning, and the VICTORY and KUBER backed alongside the Mountfort Terminal and struggled for an hour before getting the vessel docked. JAMES L. KUBER is still unloading and should be out of Erie sometime this evening.
