MORE BIODIESEL TO BE SHIPPED

More biodiesel will be shipped through the port of Erie in May, according to executives with Lake Erie Biofuels. Three million gallons of the cargo will be shipped through the port, which will likely require two ships.

CLIPPER TOBAGO carried the first cargo out last December.

I will continue to monitor this story and update as I get more information.

US biodiesel plants are shutting down across the US due to high feedstock costs and low demand in the US. Do you know if shipping biodiesel to Europe is proftable or not? We heard biodiesel companies shipping to Europe are not making as much money as they claim.

Read about the EU putting more tarrifs on biodiesel being shipped from the US. They want to create anti-dumpimg regulations. Since ther is no market for biodiesel in the US the only option US biodiesel producers had was shipping biodiesel to Europe.

Wonder how the new tarrifs and ant-dumping regulations will affect biodiesel sales to Europe?
