SAM LAUD arrived in Erie on at 1800 on this foggy June evening and moored at the Old Ore Dock to unload stone.
Staying at Wolverine Marina in Erie on Sunday and Monday was THE MEMORY MOTEL, the former Duluth bumboat MARINE TRADER. The vessel was on its way from Detroit (where it has been laid up for ten years) to New York City via the Erie Canal. The vessel, which used to sell supplies to sailors on Great Lakes ships, is to be used as a bed and breakfast in New York. After a stop in Dunkirk Tuesday the vessel should be in the Erie Canal at this time.
