FEDERAL WESER Arrives

FEDERAL WESER arrived in Erie at 2000 hours on Wednesday, turned on right wheel in Erie harbor and docked at the Mountfort Terminal to unload three transformers. Unloading is currently underway.

MANITOWOC DEPARTS; WESER DUE

MANITOWOC finished unloading sand at the North Pier, after spending the day loading, and departed at 2230.

FEDERAL WESER is expected in Erie between 2000 and 2030 on Wednesday, provided there are no delays with her transit of the Welland Canal.

BBC KIBO Departs

BBC KIBO spent Sunday night securing for sea, and departed the Mountfort Terminal this morning at 0600. The ship, ending it's first visit to the Great Lakes, turned in Presque Isle Bay and departed around 0630 bound for Mozambique. The ship is currently underway on Lake Ontario about 25 miles west of Rochester, NY.

Three more loads of locomotives are scheduled to leave the port this season.

FEDERAL WESER is expected on July 22 with three transformers.

KIBO TO DEPART; NEAH BAY IN PORT

BBC KIBO finished loading locomotives this afternoon at 1800 and is currently working on stowing cargo. KIBO will depart for Mozambique at 0600 on Monday.

NEAH BAY arrived in Erie at 1030 this morning and docked at Coast Guard Station Erie. The vessel proceeded into the bay at around 1900, after spending the day moored at the station.

BBC KIBO Arrives

BBC KIBO arrived in Erie this morning around 0300 and docked at the Mountfort Terminal. Loading of locomotives destined for Africa began this morning and will continue for the next couple of days.

LAKE GUARDIAN VISITS; BBC KIBO DUE

LAKE GUARDIAN spent Wednesday tied up at Dobbin's Landing on a break from water quality research in Lake Erie. I will post photos later tonight or tomorrow.

BBC KIBO, in ballast and due to load locomotives, is expected to arrive Erie at 0100 Saturday. The ship should be in port for two or three days loading.

BBC KIBO DUE

A new fade to the Great Lakes, BBC KIBO, is due in Montreal on July 10. The ship is in ballast from Albany, NY and will be proceeding to Erie (probably arriving July 12 or July 13) to load locomotives.

MANITOWOC Unloads; Loads Sand

MANITOWOC arrived in Erie at 1430 on Monday and docked at the Old Ore Dock to unload stone. After unloading, MANITOWOC shifted over to the Mountfort Terminal to load sand for beach replenishment. Loading continued throughout the day Tuesday, and MANITOWOC finally moved to the North Pier to unload at around 1830 on Tuesday.
